50 x 20cm Fluid Art Painting. The Kite is the third of three paintings inspired by ‘Spray’ by W.Williamson painted in 1940. The original painting depicts a woman in a muted orange swimming costume looking down on a swirling sea in muted greens and blues, the surf kicks up onto the rocks as she tries to avoid being splashed. This is my fluid art interpretation, with a kite painted with thick impasto paint with a palette knife. The red iron oxide of the kite really pops against the background blues.
